Sharon comes from a large family of nine children. Her parents have no education and can rarely find work in their village. The entire family relies on an income of less than $1 per day to meet all of their needs. Sharon has received a late start in school due to her family's poverty. Despite her challenges, she is determined to complete her education and become a doctor one day.
